Which substrate fits your tank?
Freshwater and planted
Any dry sand or gravel. Add one Bio-Substrate bag for a new tank.
Reef, marine, African cichlids
Aragonite only — it buffers pH at 8.2. The freshwater sands are inert and won't.
Terrariums, vivariums, hermit crabs
Dry sands and gravels work in terrariums; hermit crabs get their own aragonite sand.
How much
Roughly 1–2 inches of sand or 2–3 inches of gravel. Write to [email protected] with your tank size and we'll suggest bag counts.
