Good to know
Lay the bio bag as the bottom layer and cap it with dry Galaxy Sand — the colony keeps working under it.

Good substrate.
Great product for 2/3rd of the price from any aquarium shop or pet store.
Scott · June 2026Wonderful substrate
Works great for any tank even with a small filter. Cloudiness settles practically overnight, easy to plant with. Unsure what these other reviews are saying, they must be using it wrong somehow or stirring up the substrate constantly. You shouldn’t rinse it before adding !!!
Madison · September 2026Gets cloudy if the filter is on
I got this to hold down the plants in our aquarium. Does a good job so far. Make sure when you put it in you relocate your fish and turn off the filter
