Good to know
Rinse once in a bucket anyway — it isn't dirty, but the rinse settles the grains so the first fill stays crystal clear.

Why a white sand floor
Light sand lifts the whole tank: green plants read greener, dark fish stand out, and the floor bounces light back up into the scape. Sugar White is graded at 0.5–1 mm and dense enough that a filter outlet or a digging fish doesn't blow it into clouds.
The same sand comes seeded with live bacteria as a 5 lb Bio-Substrate, so a new tank can be built dry and cycled with one wet bag mixed in.

Looks amazing and great for fish that
Great sand! Well worth the price! Also i would wash it 3-4 times a bag because although they are mostly clean it still has some pulp in there.
